At Scaleads, social media management starts at 430 € + VAT per month, for a plan of up to 3 posts per week.
This is our price, transparently — not a market average. The price of social media management can vary a lot depending on:
- Number of posts
- Number of social networks managed
- Video/photography production
- Need for on-site content capture
- Content complexity
- Need to respond to messages
- Paid advertising
- Strategy and ongoing support
What does "social media management" mean?
It's not simply posting photos. Depending on the service hired, it can involve:
- Planning
- Strategy
- Editorial calendar
- Copy
- Design
- Editing
- Reels
- Carousels
- Publishing/scheduling
- Analysis
- Continuous optimisation
The exact scope always depends on the service hired — that's why it's important to understand what's included before comparing prices.
Why do prices vary so much?
A company that needs 3 posts a week has completely different needs from a brand that wants daily content, multiple videos, multiple platforms and frequent on-site production. The factors that most affect the price:
Frequency
A few posts a week vs. daily content.
No. of networks
Instagram only vs. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn.
Production
Materials supplied by the client vs. frequent professional content capture.
Format
Static posts vs. edited video and Reels.
Support
Simple management vs. strategy and continuous optimisation.

Social Media + Meta Ads + Google Ads
840 € + VAT/monthIn any of the plans with Meta Ads or Google Ads, the amount spent directly on the advertising platforms is not included in the agency fee — it's always a separate amount.
What do the 430 € pay for?
It's not "12 posts a month". The client is paying for a process:
Strategy
Planning
Content production
Publishing
Analysis
Adjustments
This is the difference between buying posts and hiring management.
Do I need content capture?
It tends to make more sense for businesses like:
- Restaurants
- Shops
- Real estate
- Businesses with physical products
- Companies where people/the team are part of the communication
There are also situations where the client already has enough material and doesn't need additional capture. When it's needed, the price is 80 € + VAT in Lisbon and the surrounding area, with a 0.30 €/km surcharge outside Greater Lisbon.
Are social media and ads the same thing?
No.
Social media management: builds presence, communication, trust and content.
Traffic management (Meta Ads or Google Ads): uses advertising platforms to put offers or content in front of specific audiences.
Many companies use both together — social media builds presence and trust, while ads help accelerate reach and generate contacts more directly.
Real example: Electrocorroios
When Scaleads started working with Electrocorroios, in March 2026, the Instagram account had approximately 300 followers. On 30 August 2026, it had 2,095 followers.
Besides the community growth, still in an early stage of the collaboration, the client confirmed a sale that came from a contact received through Instagram. We don't attribute all of the business's sales to Scaleads — this was a concrete sign that Instagram also started working as a sales channel.
View case study →Does more followers mean more sales?
Not necessarily. Followers are a metric; business is a different thing.
A social media strategy should also look at:
- Audience quality
- Messages received
- Contacts generated
- Visits (store or website)
- Business opportunities
- Sales, when they can be attributed
That's why we don't build our communication around isolated vanity metrics, like follower count.
When should I hire professional management?
Some signs it might make sense:
- You post inconsistently
- You don't know what to post
- You don't have time
- The company's image looks unprofessional on social media
- You post, but without a strategy
- You want to start using ads
- You need to turn social media into a more organised sales channel
How to compare two proposals?
Before comparing just the price, it's worth asking:
- How many posts are included?
- What formats (Reels, carousels, static)?
- Who creates the content?
- Is video included?
- Is there content capture?
- How many social networks are managed?
- Is there strategy behind the content?
- Who posts?
- Is there results tracking?
- Are ads included in the management?
- Is the ad spend included or separate from the fee?
- Is there a minimum commitment period?
- What happens when you need additional content?
This checklist is meant to help you make an informed decision — not to rule out freelancers or other agencies, who may be the right choice depending on the case.
